PROMISING QUANTUM ENGINEERING OF OPTICAL EVEN/ODD SCHRÖDINGER CAT STATES

We propose an efficient way to implement new family of continuous variable (CV) states definite parity. Measurement induced CV parity are realized after subtraction arbitrary number photons from the initial single-mode squeezed vacuum (SMSV) state using a photon resolving (PNR) detector. Optical design requires irreducible optical elements for implementation The potential in quantum information processing can be high. As example, we show possibility engineering even/odd Schrödinger cat (SCSs). In particular, report implementing that approximate SCSs amplitude slightly greater than 4 with fidelity prevailing 0,99 50,51 original SMSV. success probability being third key parameter design, decreases increase photons, but generally remains at acceptable level further use case small subtracted photons.
